When I was a child, I would tell my mother fairy tales instead of the other way around. I used to make up anecdotes and entertained her with them. I love stories, they are part of my culture and of my being, and they translate into my work. I play with images that come from words, and with words that come from images. My work has a narrative content, as well as a natural and intuitive response to the materials and marks. Sandra is a Colombian artist based in New York.
