Priscilla Stadler is an interdisciplinary visual artist exploring vulnerability and change through sculpture and human interaction. Spanning studio and social practice, she provokes questions and invite interactions to better understand how we navigate relationships, inhabit communities, and perceive the world. Recent projects include Fragile City, (a series of cheesecloth installations), The Laundromat Project’s 2014 Create Change Fellowship, and the interactive project FAVORS where Stadler challenged the people of Queens and beyond to disprove the stereotype of New Yorkers as cutthroat egomaniacs by doing favors for friends, family, and strangers – and hundreds did. Stadler’s work has been exhibited in many venues including the Queens Museum, the University of Buffalo, LaGuardia Community College, M55, and Local Project.
