Gail Rodney paints landscapes of Martha's Vineyard and New York City. She is known for her scenes of Yorkville, Carnegie Hill and Central Park in New York City, and landscapes of Chappaquiddick Island off Martha's Vineyard, MA, and Venice, Italy. In 2015 she published A Martha's Vineyard & Chappy Sketchbook (published by Vineyard Stories, Inc.), available through Amazon and at www.bunchofgrapes.com. Gail was trained at the National Academy of Design School of Fine Art where she earned a Certificate in Painting.
Her early work was executed in watercolor; she moved next to pastels and then oil, her preferred media in recent years. Gail has also pursued an interest in collage, executing a series of collage illustrations for three poetry projects. She shows annually at the Old Sculpin Gallery in Edgartown MA and is an exhibiting member the Gallery of Graphic Arts. Her work has been collected over the years in numerous private collections. Gail lives in New York and Edgartown MA.
