Bradley Whitermore has been sculpting since the early age of eight. He studied art at the Chautauqua Institute as a young artist and continued his studies in sculpture at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA where his received a BFA. While there he began his work in Wood as a material to develop his art along with experimentation in other diverse materials such as clay, glass, and metal. He is still deeply connected to material exploration and its existence in a environment. His art has received attention in dialogues on art and design for its craftsmanship. Recently, he has been defining his work as a kind of performance art that raises as many questions as it reveals. It is furniture for the mind.
